Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. –  Luke 10:20

The scriptures never instructed us to bag PH.D. in demonology. Nevertheless, to some inordinate degree crop of Christians justify focusing on Satan and his activities. Truth is that, it will actually give rise to demon activity and become a tool that Satan can use to fight us. Haven’t you noticed? Any Church that focuses on demon activity continues to get high number of demon visitation.

Yes, like Paul said, we should not be IGNORANT of Satan’s devices. We certainly need to know that the devil and demons exist, and we must come to the realisation of it; we must recognise when are facing demonic activities. In spite of that, we need to keep our focus on the Lord.

Some Christians who excessively engage in “Spiritual warfare” spend much time and energy negotiating and chatting with the devil each day than they do talking to God. That is abnormal and so inappropriate.

Let me tell you the best defense against is to be so “God-centered” that Satan gets no place in your thoughts. People who always perceive the presence of the devil usually do so at the expense of being sensitive to the Lord’s presence. David understood better. That is why he wrote

“If I make my bed in hell, behold thou art there” (Psalm 139:8).

Do you know? God does not depart in the wake of Satanic operation, He is always present. He can only manifest when we let him to and we can’t do that if we don’t recognise his presence. The writer of Hebrew knew so much of this and he was inspired to write it down

“Don’t fall in love with money. Be satisfied with what you have. The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us”.
Hebrews 13:5 CEV

Our total ability in the Christian life is found in Christ. It is not our ability that makes us strong, but our availability to Christ that enables us. We can’t be strong when we only think of the presence of demons!

Paul said,

“For when I am weak, then am I strong” (2 Cor. 12:10).

He was saying that when he recognized his inability and, therefore, relied on the Lord, then the Lord’s strength flowed through him. We can do all things THROUGH CHRIST.

Let me specifically say here, no ultimately overcome the devil, keep focusing on Jesus that you can’t remember the Devil anymore.

PRAYER: Lord, I give all my thoughts and focus to you because all of you is what I need. I give the devil no room in my life because I want it to be all yours. I am victorious and I can do all things.
