“Listen! The virgin shall conceive a child! She shall give birth to a Son, and he shall be called “Emmanuel” (meaning “God is with us”) — Matthew 1:23
Does that make any sense to you? Imagine you were Mary, you’ve never kissed before talk more of sleeping with a man! Someone walks up to you in a strange manner and begin to tell you that you’re going to give birth to a Child! That wouldn’t only sound impossible, it sounds very stupid!
“When God began creating the heavens and the earth, the earth was at first shapeless, chaotic mass, with the Spirit of God brooding over the dark vapors. Then God said “Let there be light” And light appeared” — Genesis 1:1-3
Imagine the earth in the beginning! The Scriptures clearly stated that darkness covered the face of the deep. All of a sudden God walked up and say “Let there be light” and there was light! If it can’t be scientifically proved it doesn’t just seem impossible but it also sounds stupid! Doesn’t it? We all know that darkness has no source; it simply means the absence of light! Light has a source and can be measured, how come light came from nowhere? Darkness absolutely means “Zero”! There is no measurement for darkness, even in darkness scientists will only be able measure the amount of light available, if any. So, if God called forth light from darkness, it means God called forth light from “nothing”! It sounds stupid! Atheists will boldly tell you it is stupid!
In the same analogy of darkness and light, a virgin giving birth to a Child simply means that the Child came from nowhere! How? Because a virgin is not biologically ready to conceive. What does this tell you? God is capable of removing “non” from nonsense to make “sense”. That situation you are facing can be overcome with nothing! Stop hoping that salvation can come from anything else, stop hoping that deliverance can come from any source, stop looking at any source in hope for a miracle… Just look on to God! He makes a way from “no-way”, He makes things happen from nothing!
“His life is the light that shines through the darkness — and the darkness can never extinguish it.” — John 1:5
Just imagine yourself! You were once darkness (you were nothing)! Out of nothing God’s Spirit came into you, made you His place of abode and began to display through you! And from darkness (nothing) you became light! God didn’t make you something out of your righteousness… He simply saved you out of nothing for something, He made something from nothing! We always hear people say “from grass to grace” but no! It is “from nothing to graceful”, grass is something… I am talking about God who brings something out of nothing not just out of grass!
It may not really make sense; God doesn’t want it to make sense either! Miracles don’t make sense but it happens! Miracle can be defined as God’s manifestation coming to reality! God manifests out of nothing!
The beauty of the nature gives a little definition of who God is! God is everything and everything comes from God. He is the God of NONSENSE
PRAYER: Dear Lord Almighty, by your power, I declare everything in my life that doesn’t make sense to begin to make sense! I depend on you for everything! In Jesus name. Amen
