“GOD DOESN’T EXIST”: The truth of the matter

blog 1

“There is no God, it is either he doesn’t exist or he is dead! I have searched for God and I couldn’t find him… If there is God why are there so much troubles and evil?” This is a popular statement among the atheists!

We’ve always come across people who refutes the idea that there is God somewhere, somehow… Not because they don’t feel the consistent approach of God to them or because they don’t know there is God… They just feel it is safer to just declare there is no God so that they don’t have their lives get controlled by Him! That is why the Bible calls them “fools”. They feel God’s presence, they see evidences but they just wish God is not there and they just don’t want to believe.

To win the soul of an Atheist, we may need to always groan for them in our closest, we may need to keep praying for them till they encounter God! There is no answer that convinces like a personal encounter with God! They may witness miracles and call it magic but they can’t encounter God and still remain the same! Paul, although not an atheist doubted the authenticity of Jesus but when Jesus caused an encounter, he turned into a soul winner for the same Christ he had fought!

Atheists generally have one question in common, whenever you talk about God they come up with that question, “if there is God, why are there so much evil in this world?”… The answer is very simple! God didn’t create the world to have control over it all by himself! He gave it to man for it was made for man and not man for it! Man however in lost the world to the devil… It all sounds like a fairy tale! We don’t even need bible here because the atheists don’t believe in God talk more of Bible!

OK, there is evil because everyone has not submitted fully to God! Evil is an absence of good, when there is no ‘good’ all you get is bad just like when there is no light all you get is darkness! When there is no heat all you get is cold, when there is no water all you get is dryness, when there is no food all you get is hunger and so on… That is how it is here on earth!

The atheists will always ask after the bad things happening because that is what Satan designed to keep convincing them that there is no God! Even satan did not commit that sin of unbelief! But you will never see them talk about the good things happening! You see, it is one job to convince an atheist of God and another to convince him of an arch enemy “Satan”. But it is simply clear…

Evil is a proof that there is goodness… That is why when you don’t feel good, you’re feeling bad! Now bad happenings proves to us the existence of an enemy who is fighting ‘Good’ things from happening and ‘good happenings’ is a proof that there is God who has designed life to be good! So we mustn’t ask only about the bad thing that happened, we must also ask about the good things that happened.

Ok! If there is God, why will He allow Satan to perpetuate evil? Well God didn’t allow Satan to perpetuate evil, men in their foolishness like “atheism” allows the devil to perpetuate evil! We are in the world but not of the world, so we will always witness the failings of the world systems and if we believe in God and trust in Him through Jesus, we will also be experiencing God’s goodness! What we don’t believe, we cannot accept!

If there is God, why are there so many religion? An atheist asks but I also reply them with a counter question “if there is no God, why are there so many religion?” Religion are ways through which men search for God! They have this longing in their heart to find, please and worship God… The common goal of every religion is to try and find God. That is why people are asked to be moral so that they can please God!

And so? Why is Christianity claimed to be the true religion? This is another question. Atheists have always posed! Before I answer that, I want you to notice the scheme of the devil through atheism. Atheists are more furious towards Christianity… They hate Christianity because they’ve been inspired to hate Christ… Whenever you see an Atheist, what they usually criticize is Jesus Christ and on most cases not ‘God’. The devil knows that once they reject Christ, they are gone and so he thinks its important to convince them towards Christ-hatred! Even the Muslims believes there are anti-Christ!

So we wanted to deal with a question… Why do Christianity claims itself to be the true religion? Did I just hear you say religion? Christianity is true but it is no religion! Christianity is the same thing with “God-like”. Man was made to be like God… So, understanding this makes you be a God-like person! It is the act of being “God-like” (Christ-like) that we call Christianity! Religions may ask you to be godly but not to be God-like because they’ve not found God talk more knowing how to act like God! I will tell you what I mean… I will borrow an already established fact and truth about Jesus. Because religion has tried and failed, God decided to reveal Himself to us… He did and He came as Jesus! Another fairy tale, an atheist may think…

Does God exist? Unlike any other revelation of God, Jesus Christ is the clearest, most specific picture of God revealing himself to us.

Why Jesus? Look throughout the major world religions and you’ll find that Buddha, Muhammad, Confucius and Moses all identified themselves as teachers or prophets. None of them ever claimed to be equal to God. Surprisingly, Jesus did. That is what sets Jesus apart from all the others. He said God exists and you’re looking at him. Though he talked about his Father in heaven, it was not from the position of separation, but of very close union, unique to all humankind. Jesus said that anyone who had seen Him had seen the Father, anyone who believed in him, believed in the Father.

He said, “I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” He claimed attributes belonging only to God: to be able to forgive people of their sin, free them from habits of sin, give people a more abundant life and give them eternal life in heaven. Unlike other teachers who focused people on their words, Jesus pointed people to himself. He did not say, “follow my words and you will find truth.” He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me.”

What proof did Jesus give for claiming to be divine? He did what people can’t do. Jesus performed miracles. He healed people…blind, crippled, deaf, even raised a couple of people from the dead. He had power over objects…created food out of thin air, enough to feed crowds of several thousand people. He performed miracles over nature…walked on top of a lake, commanding a raging storm to stop for some friends. People everywhere followed Jesus, because he constantly met their needs, doing the miraculous. He said if you do not want to believe what I’m telling you, you should at least believe in me based on the miracles you’re seeing. If he didn’t do all those, people won’t be talking about him now! To say Jesus didn’t come is like saying there is no such thing as air because his coming was clear and confirmed by historians which also included atheists!

Jesus Christ showed God to be gentle, loving, aware of our self-centredness and shortcomings, yet deeply wanting a relationship with us. Jesus revealed that although God views us as sinners, worthy of his punishment, his love for us ruled and God came up with a different plan. God himself took on the form of man and accepted the punishment for our sin on our behalf. Sounds ludicrous? Perhaps, but many loving fathers would gladly trade places with their child in a cancer ward if they could. The Bible says that the reason we would love God is because he first loved us.

Jesus died in our place so we could be forgiven. Of all the religions known to humanity, only through Jesus will you see God reaching toward humanity, providing a way for us to have a relationship with him. Jesus proves a divine heart of love, meeting our needs, drawing us to himself. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, he offers us a new life today. We can be forgiven, fully accepted by God and genuinely loved by God. He says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” This is God, in action.

Does God exist? If you want to know, investigate Jesus Christ. We’re told that “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

God does not force us to believe in him, though he could. Instead, he has provided sufficient proof of his existence for us to willingly respond to him. The earth’s perfect distance from the sun, the unique chemical properties of water, the human brain, DNA, the number of people who attest to knowing God, the gnawing in our hearts and minds to determine if God is there, the willingness for God to be known through Jesus Christ.

If you want to begin a relationship with God now, you can.

This is your decision, no coercion here. But if you want to be forgiven by God and come into a relationship with him, you can do so right now by asking him to forgive you and come into your life. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door [of your heart] and knock. He who hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him [or her].” If you want to do this, but aren’t sure how to put it into words, this may help: “Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins. You know my life and that I need to be forgiven. I ask you to forgive me right now and come into my life. I want to know you in a real way. Come into my life now. Thank you that you wanted a relationship with me. Amen.”

God views your relationship with him as permanent. Referring to all those who believe in him, Jesus Christ said of us, “I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.”

Looking at all these facts, one can conclude that God does exist, a loving God at that! And can be known in an intimate, personal way.
