THE ORDINARIES….

Making sense out of non-sense

God makes meaning out of nonsense. Out of what we might call “ordinary” spoken word, God created the earth. Out of what we might call “ordinary” sin, God destroyed the world. Out of what we might call “ordinary” likeness, God restored the world through Noah.

:

Out of what we might call “ordinary” sexual relationships of all types, God destroyed the city of Sodom. Out of what we might call “ordinary” likeness, God saved Lot and family from the wrath. Out of what we might call “ordinary” faith in God, Abraham was considered righteous. Out of what we might call “ordinary” disobedience, Lot’s wife turned into a bag of useless salt.

:

Out of what we might call “ordinary” blessing, God established the nation of Israel. Out of what we might call “ordinary” covenant breaking, God condemned the Jews, the gentiles were cursed from the begining.

:

Out of what we might call “ordinary” love, God sent His Son to die in our place! Out of an “ordinary” virgin, Jesus was born. He was murdered thereafter. Out of what we might call “ordinary” death, we had life to its full! Out of what we might call “ordinary” resurrection, Jesus was glorified and we were glorified in Him.
Out of what we might call “ordinary” glorification, the gift of perfection was given to man not as a merit award but as a Grace award. Out of what we might call “ordinary” believe in Jesus, man became saved. Out of all the “ordinaries” we had the God kind of life and ceased to be ordinary men!

:

It might sound like an “ordinary” nonsense but God makes sense out of nonsense. The ways of God may seem foolish to the people of this world but they are blinded by their own foolishness! God makes extraordinary things out of ordinary things.

BIBLE QUOTATION

“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 BSB
