I want to make it a very short article… and straight to the point.
Today is a product of yesterday, if there was no yesterday, there wouldn’t be today. You cannot skip a day and jump into the next; you cannot eat tomorrow without working today. Salary is paid at the end of the month and so one is expected to work for one month to receive his or her salary at the end of that month. That is to say, how you work in a month determines the kind of salary you’ll receive at the end! What am I trying to insinuate? The harvest of today is the result of the seed we sow yesterday! Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
The mess of today was caused by the bad seeds of yesterday and the success of tomorrow is determined by the kind of seed we sow today. The question now is, what seed are you sowing? Don’t forget in a jiffy that there is always tomorrow. Tomorrow is the harvest of today. Sow education and morals in a baby, he become a learned and uncommon man tomorrow. Help the needy today, tomorrow he may help you in turn or help others. Every good thing we do today results to better things ahead and every bad thing we do today results to something worse tomorrow. Terrorists of today were once ignored kids of yesterday.
Look at Joseph of the old testament, he ran away from 10 minutes pleasure that would have made him remain the chief servant and tomorrow he was the governor of the entire Egypt. Just like sex today might result to pregnancy tomorrow, whatever you do today has something to offer in future. There is no contraception that can prevent the seed you sow from germinating.
Do you want to have blissful future? Sow the seed of righteousness and faith in Jesus Christ… It is the seed of love!
Listen to what Jesus said in Luke 6:38
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Although Jesus was talking about giving out to people, we can also apply it to the context of what we are discussing here. Sow good things into your future and you shall receive overflowing better results.
God bless you… Feel free to say your mind on the comment box.
