GOD HAS GIVEN US THE NATIONS…

EVERY MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL SHOULD READ THIS….

 .

“I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.” Psalm 2:6-7

 .

The Book of Psalm is one of the highly prophetic books in the Bible. Lots of the pre-messianic prayers was fulfilled the moment Jesus came to the earth! For instance, the Psalmist wrote in 51:10

.

” Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me”

.

God said in Ezekiel 36:25-26

.

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

.

Looking at the above two verses from Psalm and Ezekiel, you will quickly discover how connected the both of them is. Lets study the verses and proceed to the message I want to pass to us

.

The Psalmist requested God to wipe his sins away. To wipe is different from covering! He requested for a new heart and requested for the constant dwelling of the Holy Spirit. It was a Prophetic prayer. In Ezekiel, God declared that He will cleanse all our filthiness, give us a new heart and put a new Spirit within us. What a glorious display of power!

.

When Jesus came, He took our sins, our shames and burdens and hanged it on the cross. Through the cross, our sins were taken out of this earth into the land of the dead! The hearts of those who believed are changed and the Holy Spirit does not come and go anymore, He comes to live! No wonder, Paul wrote in 2nd Corinthians 5:17

.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!”

.

The fulfilment of every pre-messianic prayers is found in Christ. It is very important that we note these things as it gives us courage and boldness to come to the throne of Grace! From those verses, it is safe to say that every sinner is a forgiven character but because they have not believed, they can’t receive! The major difference between believers and unbelievers is not behavior but a change of heart and infilling of the spirit. The believers believes and received but the unbeliever did not believe and therefore did not receive. Anyone who is in Christ have undergone spiritual heart surgery.

.

Having said that, we must have come to agree that the prayers of the Psalmist has been fulfilled in Christ. Our opening scripture portrayed God as saying,  “ask of me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance”. In Christ, the nation has been given too! How? Jesus said

.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19

.

Jesus cannot ask us to make disciples of all nations if the nations has not been given to us. To know if this is true, read the previous verse, Matthew 28:18. Jesus said all power and authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him. By asking us to go and make Disciples of all nations, He was indicating that those powers given to Him has been bestowed on us!

.

The only reason many of us have not started seeing the nations rise is because we are limited by our perception of Christianity and power of God, we are limited by hate and we are limited by ignorance. Jesus gave us a simple commandment with which we can take over this world! It is very simple… It is LOVE! With love, we can really take over this world in a matter of seconds, we will enter the strongholds of darkness and introduce love to the chained! It is that same of love of Christ that has been shed abroad in our heart… We can only activate the power of God’s love in us by being consciously practical with it both in comfort and discomfort.

.

There is a particular place in the Scripture that get me speaking in other tongues whenever I come across it. Jesus said in John 17:22-24

“I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one— I in them and You in Me — that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me. Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.…”

.

The exact glory that has been given to Jesus has been given to us, something awesome took place… It is beyond spiritual intercourse but we have been fused into divinity so that we can operate in the realm of divinity. We have been loved Just as Jesus has been loved by God. Reading the above scripture clearly pictures a total transformation. Every believer has been changed from humanity to Divinity in the Spirit realm but our operation is only limited to what we know, our expansion is only limited to the lands we can see. God told Abraham in Genesis 13:15

.

“All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.”

.

Abraham decided not to see with his physical eyes, he decided to see with his eyes of faith and what he saw was the world! No wonder, Abraham became the father of many nations. Paul wrote in Romans 17:5

.

As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the presence of God, in whom he believed, the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being what does not yet exist.”

.

So, as we can see we are not limited to any sort by God. God has given us the nation, God has given us the world and we can penetrate with only one message. Jesus never asked us to preach another message, Jesus never asked us to preach too many messages… Jesus only gave us a mandate, a message and a lifestyle!

.

The mandate is that we go into the world and make disciple of all nations and not some nations! (Matthew 28:19)

.

The message is simply the gospel. The gospel means ‘too GOOD to BE TRUE News’. This is a message of hope and love, not a message of condemnation. This is a message that must be preached in the Spirit of its content. All over the scriptures and gospel, the love of God is so evident that we can feel it been disinterred and transferred  from the papers into our body as we study.

.

This is the only way we can take over! When we forget our traditions that limits us, our human ideologies and judgements that stands between us and the mandate… When we do away with this things and replace everything in our mind with God’s love, we will begin to see what Jesus saw in every sinner and we will begin to drag them out of darkness into the marvellous light.

.

It is not just about speaking love, it is about showing it! It is about standing in for a sinner who is on the brink of death, it is about giving food and clothing and shelter to someone who have not believed the gospel, it is about having compassion for everyone around us. The writer of Jude wrote in 1:22-23

.

“And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.”

 .

This means that we must still show compassion to people who doubt the gospel of Jesus Christ, we must run after those who have taken the wrong way. We ought to be very tender with sinners but not soft on sin. While we don’t condone sin, we don’t condemn sinners. We treat them with caution and love but strictly rebuke any who comes up with false doctrine.

.

What then is the attitude? The attitude of every believer is love! Jesus said, “love your enemies and pray for them!”. We can change this world, we can save souls beyond what we have done… If only we can go with fire burning in our hearts! I believe this is the time… WE HAVE A MANDATE, A MESSAGE AND AN ATTITUDE… USE IT!

.

God bless you …
