POWERFUL INSIGHTS: What is the Doctrine of the Devil?

1 Timothy 4:1 – Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils

What does this place mean?

Let’s be careful how we interpret this… The most important words in this sentence is “FAITH” and “DOCTRINE OF DEVILS”

I will clearly show you from the scriptures what this place means…

Concerning FAITH, Romans 3:22 says “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile”

So, departing from faith means rejecting that anyone who puts faith in Christ and believe has received righteousness. Now, what does it mean to give heed to the doctrine of the devil?

Concerning the devil and his doctrine, Revelation 12:10 says

“Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.”

Since salvation came when the accuser of brethren was thrown down, it means one can lost salvation when he accepts the message of the devil. What is the devils message?

The devil’s message is the opposite of the witness of the Holy Spirit. What does the Holy Spirit say all the time? Let’s see Romans 8:16

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children”

So, the devil’s doctrine to a believer is that “Jesus didn’t finish the work. God is not mighty to save… Therefore, you are not God’s child”

When you give heed to this doctrine of Satan, you are simply rejecting God’s salvation. These doctrines of the devil makes you believe that you still have lots of things to do to be saved while the scriptures clearly stated that salvation comes when you put your faith in Jesus and believe in His finished work.

Be careful of those Pastors and preachers that tell you all manner of things! They ask you to come for family deliverance, they ask you to do certain things so that your salvation can be complete. They tell you to that you need several days of deliverance before you can finally experience freedom in Christ… Never give heed to them. I warn you with wise man’s warning

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Never allow the doctrine of the devil into your heart, it will control you and change how you reach out to God. It can even risk you into disbelieving the gospel and sin against the Holy Spirit. Let God’s word fill your heart!

Express your freedom in Christ!

The work was finished on the cross!
