OUR MOST HOLY FAITH

:

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” – Jude 1:20‭-‬21 ASV

:

Holiness is not a feeling but a knowing. Even when we were dead in trespasses, we were made alive together with Christ (by grace we are saved). We were raised together and we sit together with Christ! It is on this most Holy faith that we build. It has nothing to do with what we are feeling! That you feel like a dog doesn’t make you a dog, that you feel you are a goat doesn’t make you a goat! In fact, that you behaved like a dog, doesn’t make you a dog! In the same way, the Spirit of a believer is perfect and holy…

:

The Bible says it is with our heart that we believe but it is with our mouth that we confess unto salvation. Christianity is beyond the first order of faith where we confess what we believe, it goes into becoming what we believe! This is why we must build on our most Holy faith!

:

How do we build it? It is right there is the Bible! It is by praying in the Holy Spirit, by keeping ourselves in the love of God and by looking unto Jesus as the source of our mercy. If we go further, the Bible also asked us to become merciful to others.

:

Praying in tongues is a necessity! The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:2-3, that when we pray in tongues, we are edified! That is to say, we are being built up! Why are we edified? Because by speaking in tongues, we are not just communicating with God, God is communicating with us! It is a talk with the father! God’s  response to us builds us up! No wonder, the Bible says in Matthew 14:4 that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from God! God’s word is what keeps us alive, it keeps us moving!

:

When you pray in tongues before studying God’s word, you see insights and mighty revelations! Not because God has not been speaking but because you have allowed the Holy Spirit to speak to your Spirit! When you pray in tongues, it is a spiritual exercise and has nothing to do with your mind!

:

What is our most holy faith? Ephesians 2:6-7 says

:

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

:

No matter who you are, if you have believed the gospel of Jesus, you have been raised and seated with Christ! You don’t just say it, it should be felt by people that you have been with Jesus! You don’t just confess that you have believed, you have to become and confess what you have become!

:

Holiness isn’t a dress code, it is not abstinence from make up… It is God’s very nature and it has become our nature too! The day we became born again, we received God’s very nature of righteousness!

:

This is why we must not stoop so low to behave like the old us! Paul asked that we put off the old clothe of sin! It is like a king living as a slave! It is like an adult playing on the mud like a child! Since we have been set free from the grip of sin, we can comfortably yield to it no more. The Bible says

:

“In the same way, you also should consider yourselves dead to sin but alive for God in Christ Jesus. So then, don’t let sin rule your body, so that you do what it wants.” – Romans 6:11‭-‬12 CEB

:

We are not just alive to God! We are alive for God! This is our must holy faith! Keep building… Keeping praying in the Spirit!
