“What shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or peril or sword?” – Romans8:35.

When we love, we build our love by speaking loving words to the object of our love. This grows in the mind of the person. There is always a reassurance that comes when we text or talk to a loved one about our love for them. It clears every doubt that seems to have risen. Words are seeds that can only be sown by speaking it. When these words are spoken into a fertile place, it grows and germinates and eventually become a tree.

Our love for God and God’s love for us works in a similar way, in order to build faith in God which sustains our love we need to meditate on His word. God communicates His love to us through His words and we also communicate our love to God through our worship. By meditating on His words, we are building up our most Holy faith and we discover that His word is growing in us and builds confidence such that we are not afraid of circumstances because the seed of God’s word has been sown in us and is growing. We should always renew our mind with His loving promises and sacrifices. When it seems we are facing so many troubles and we are beginning to hear voices questioning God’s love for us, all we need to do is go back to God’s word that is readily available in the Bible and begin to mediate on it. Those words were written for us, it was written to reassure us that of course, God loves us without limit.

Right there where you are, you can place your hand on your chest, put up a smile and say to God

“Dear loving Father,

thank you for the conviction you have given us to dwell in your word. You have assured us that we are more than conquerors. In the midst of turbulent waters, I know You are there to help us swim through. Like Paul said, I am fully persuaded in my heart that nothing shall separate us from your love. All that we are is YOU. I Believe.”

Stay strong.
