CHRIST | WISDOM REVEALED

:
“It was worldly wisdom that crucified Christ” – Reinhard Bonnke
:
But the wisdom of God is summed up in Christ who has the fullness of the Godhead and in whom we are complete. The true meaning of wisdom in its entirety is Christ! The ancient wisdom of Israel was a shadow of Christ because the wisdom of Israel was practical and concerns how life should be lived, a wisdom that saw God as a person, a wisdom that related to God as though He existed… Of course He lives forever.
:
On the contrast, the Greeks saw wisdom differently! Their wisdom was indeed the reality of the wisdom of this world! What Greeks called wisdom were mere opinions and reasonings and not something practical! Their wisdom existed only on papers and human inventions! The Greeks wisdom were merely common sense, intellectual and skillful ideas of Elites which has been retained as the meaning of wisdom in English words!
:
But then, Christ came! The fear of God in the Old Testament is the beginning of wisdom! It changed in the New Testament, faith in Jesus became the beginning of wisdom! Fear of God as used by Hebrews meant something different from the Greeks definition of fear! Fear of God meant reverence in acknowledgement of God’s supremacy! The Bible declared in 1 Corinthians 1:30 “God has brought us into union with Christ Jesus, and God made Christ to be our wisdom. By Him we are put right with God”
:
Human wisdom as we see in the Greek style doesn’t know God, God is just an idea, a philosophy that mortals would even attain to! The possibility of human wisdom to decode the person of God was zero! True Wisdom begins with knowing who God is! While Jews believed there is God, they always wanted God to prove Himself as the Greeks had continued in their quest for wisdom! The Jews saw Christ as a criminal, they never believed a man would claim equality with God! The message of Christ was an offense to them. On the other hand, the Greeks saw the message of Christ as nonsense! In their philosophy by the way, there was no such thing as sin… Why? They wouldn’t truly define love! Sin means loveless. Love solves the problem of sin but Christ is the revelation of true love! So what was Christ claiming to save them from? How would one man die for the world? How can a virgin woman claim to have conceived and give birth? That was beyond their explanation! They understood Biology, they understood Chemistry and in their wisdom they have experimented it and propound their theories! The message of Jesus made no meaning to their wisdom!
:
However, Christ is both God’s power and God’s wisdom! Preaching the message of Christ is the display of God’s power and also the display of His wisdom! This remains the only way man can be saved! What seemed foolish to the Greeks and offensive to the Jews is wiser than the wisdom of men… Christ is the definition of wisdom! The bible describes Jesus in Colossians 2:3 as “the Key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge.” The previous verse describes God’s secret as a person and that person is Christ Himself!
:
Human wisdom brings enslavement and it lacks value but Christ who is God’s wisdom sets people free and it is worth God Himself! Human wisdom is chiefly orchestrated by the ruling spirit of this world… The devil!
:
Believers in Christ Jesus has been given this wisdom of God, something the Greeks sought for in vain! The bible says in Colossians 2:9 that “the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in His Humanity, and you have been given full life in union with Him…” Do you get that? Jesus Christ has the full content, I mean… All that ever made God who He is… Jesus has that full content not after He had gone to heaven but even as a man on earth as we have been given the life of Jesus in full, none was ever left out! That is what God’s word says!
:
There is a higher wisdom, a supernatural wisdom… Wisdom that isn’t of this nature but of God Himself! This wisdom is a person, this wisdom is Christ and this wisdom is inside of us!
:
God bless you!
