THE BLIND | AN EVIL FROM GOD?

:
Sickness is evil, sickness showcases the state of this world; fallen and corrupt. Like I noted earlier in my previous article, it is not natural to be sick, it is not supernatural to enjoy divine health! From the foundations of this earth God has designed nature to be an expression of His beauty! However, many people see nature with a corrupt mind, a mind that isn’t renewed and therefore they would hardly see anything good about nature!
:
Then, someone might think there is a problem with this teaching! I would have thought so too in the past but we learn everyday! You may have probably read in one of my previous articles where I might have said carnality means natural and you might be wondering, isn’t he contradicting himself? Well, let me say we aren’t perfect humans yet! We may receive God’s word and our human flaws would still limit us from communicating it in all perfection! I would talk on this subject later! This is why we continue to study, to meditate on God’s word and continue to gain clarity everyday! We are progressive… Walking towards perfection!
:
Nature is the work of God and not the devil! The systems of this world aren’t natural, these systems are fighting against God’s original intention like I mentioned in my earlier article. Now, a place in the Bible may seem to be contradicting what I said when not understood properly. Let’s take a look at John 9:3-4, I will quote from Good News Bible and it renders it this way “Jesus answered, “His blindness has nothing to do with his sins or his parents’ sins. He is blind so that God’s power might be seen at work in him… We must keep on doing the work of Him who sent me…”
:
You see that verse, something is wrong with the translation! Using the words of Reinhard Bonnke “Sometimes mistaken theology produces a mistaken translation of the Bible,” I am sure I had preached from that verse in the times past and have said “God can do anything He wishes in order to bring glory to Himself!” Something is wrong with that teaching and I humbly admit I was wrong! We grow everyday! Let me explain what happened in that verse so we can understand God cannot change, it is not part of God’s nature to create an evil in a man just for a showbiz! God is not a showbiz superstar who loves to entertain people with miracles! Miracle happens because God loves people and want them to experience healing, restoration and total deliverance! Miracles are result of God’s compassion upon people who are suffering. God cannot cause people to suffer just to bring glory to Himself. He is not those magicians on the street who deceive people with their tricks.
:
We can understand what happened at that scene from what Jesus said and what He did! I quoted from Goodnews Bible because I have been writing with it for sometime now, I seem to have fallen in love with it anyway but it made a mess of this verse, they were sincere in their translation anyway and they are just mortal men with their own flaws doing the work of God. God keeps perfecting His works through men everyday! Now let’s see what the correct statement should be because this is what the entire theme of the Bible presents, this is also what Jesus acted at that scene. I will still want to maintain the Good News tone and you could look up the original Greek words used in the manuscripts, look at the punctuations and see that it wasn’t correctly translated.
:
It should be this way “Jesus answered “His blindness has nothing to do with his sins or his parents’ sins. God’s power will be seen at work in Him…. We must do the work of Him who sent me…” The first part of verse 3 was correctly translated, some translations uses the word “neither this man nor his parents sinned…” It shouldn’t be understood as though they were perfect people who never sinned! They sinned like everyone else but the man wasn’t blind because of their sins! Jesus also said “We must do the work of Him who sent me…” And He acted it out! The bible says in Genesis 2:7 “Then the Lord God took some soil from the ground and formed a man out of it…,” Jesus after He had proclaimed what He came to do (the work of the Father), He spat on the soil and made some mud with the spittle; he rubbed the mud on the man’s eyes! That was the work of the Father! He showed them that He was right there when man was made. Jesus formed a brand new eyes and placed it on the man’s eyes… Can you see that?
:
Now, you understand better that the sickness was never from God, Jesus healed the blind man out of love and not out of selfishness and power-hunger! It is God’s desire to heal the sick and He does that through the people He has given the gift of healing! No sickness of any kind is God’s will, God didn’t create sickness and God doesn’t cause it!
:
Sometimes we hear certain Christians comfort sick members saying “take heart, maybe God caused it just to prove He is God” or they say “brother, confess that secret sin and God will heal you. He cause it because you sinned.” It is not true! Sin can result to sickness, people can live immoral lives and damage their body systems or get sexually transmitted diseases but it is not from God! We were once told in Church then that God created HIV/AIDS to reduce sexual immorality! That is lie, all sicknesses are results of the fallen state of man! It is not part of God’s design for man to be sick! In fact, sickness isn’t a word in the nature God designed!
:
It is God’s wish that you prosper and be in good health! It is His desire and that is How He designed it! Next time someone tells you that sickness or evil is from God, refuse to believe them! Begin to declare healing on your body! Your spirit man is never and can never be sick because you are perfect and holy in your spirit! Till that appointed time when God will make a new universe and give us new bodies, we can only enforce upon our body what God has done in the Spirit!
:
Hope this blessed you?
