CHRIST, THE PLACE!

:
I rather stop walking than go where He isn’t leading me!
I rather stop living than live a life that isn’t His!
To live in obedience to Christ is true submission. Obedience to the law is done out of fear but obedience to Christ is done out of love! There is no common ground between fear and love. The Bible says that perfect love drives all fear away! We aren’t living for heaven but for Christ. Our ultimate concern isn’t to go to heaven but to be in Christ. Christ is a place, a place better than wherever we had ever wanted to be! He is the beginning and the end which means He is the start of our journey and the end of our journey! We’re made and sustained in Him. Outside Him we do not exist.
:
For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
Deuteronomy 30:16 NIV
:
First notice that what comes first is loving the Lord (Luke 10:27). There is no way you can walk in obedience to whom you don’t love. People rebel against a leader they don’t love but they try pleasing the government they love. A woman who loves her husband wouldn’t do any less than live in obedience to him without him enforcing it on her. And a wife is easily won by her husband when she is loved by him. The Bible says God loved us first (1 John 4:19) and saved us even while we were sinners (Romans 5:8). He only demands that we receive His salvation! So you see, when we love God, other things can follow. It is the knowledge of who God is that prompts our heart to love Him. Many don’t like God because they have the wrong knowledge of him. They either live in fear or rebellion of Him. Knowing that God loves us unconditionally makes us love Him!
:
Deuteronomy was written at a time the love of God was still known with strong limitations! The revelations of Him was still in shadows! But we can see something from the verse we looked at and interpret in the light of the New testament truth! When Jesus said on the cross “it is finished” he was referring to so many things but not everything though! He wasn’t saying “praying is finished” or “doing good works is finished” but it entails “the war is over, the promise is fulfilled, the rest is here, the struggle is finished, this is the end of the law…” In this light we know we are blessed already as everything we need is available in our spirit which we have received from God. This includes the ability to love, control our body, do the work of the ministry, and lots more… The fruit of the spirit is complete in our spirit starting from the day we got born again!
:
Believing in Jesus is the ultimate beginning of our journey in Him. We continue this journey effectively by loving Him. How can we believe in the Messiah and not trust Him? How can we trust Him and not love Him? Jesus made it clear that the greatest command there is is love! It is in loving Him that we desire to know Him more and in knowing Him more we are increasing. Increase here means growth of the mind. We have a perfect Spirit but we renew our mind and grow in the knowledge of Him! This is how we know how much God has blessed us and this is how we possess all that Good had made available for us.
:
The Bible says “come to the throne of Grace with boldness that you may obtain mercy and find favour in the time of need” (Hebrews 4:16) we come with boldness because we have legal access! But how can we obtain these things when we don’t know them? God want you to walk in His steps so that you walk the exact walk He designed you for! You can only be productive when the Holy Spirit leads the way that you follow!
:
God bless you!
