“yet you refuse to come to Me to have life.”
~ John 5:40
Certain times people ask a lot of questions on the issue of salvation and they can’t figure it out how a loving God who has professed His love for the man still allow anyone to perish just because they never believed in Jesus. People want to feel that if God is truly a loving and ever-forgiving God, He shouldn’t mind if people believed or not and ensure they are saved from eternal damnation. To satisfy the curiosity of this folks, certain people have gone out with wrong teachings and heresies which says you don’t need to believe to be saved. The truth of the matter is; God loves you whether you are saved or not and He has already made provisions for your salvation. People may not be saved simply because they refused God’s salvation. Get this:
1. God has offered salvation to everyone.
2. God does not shove His gift down anyone’s throat.
3. God’s salvation becomes operational in our life when we receive it.
4. We receive God’s salvation by acknowledging it.
God is not responsible for anyone’s eternal damnation. The reason people will perish if they don’t believe is that they have refused God’s free offer of salvation. Jesus said, “…yet you refuse to come to Me to have life.” This means we receive life when we come to Him but when we refuse Him, we also refuse His life.
POINT TO NOTE
The amount of the experience of salvation you will experience depends on how much you believe. Some have already come to Jesus and have received life but they aren’t operating in certain dimensions because they are still being limited by what they believe. They believe in Jesus but they believe there is something they need to do to maintain their salvation and it limits them.
“I have the life of God complete in me because I have come to Christ. The life of God is operational in me at all sphere of my living! God’s word is at work in me because I have accepted His word.”
Thank you, precious Father, for the life you have delivered to me in Christ Jesus. I reaffirm today that Jesus died for my sake that I may have life and I reaffirm that Jesus resurrected that in Him I can be with you forever! Halleluyah!
