Get Rid Of All Bitterness

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behaviour. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31‭-‬32 NLT

It’s possible to live a life free of bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, slander and other evils! But wait a minute, often we don’t know how much evil harsh words are. When you are harsh towards others, you are dampening them emotionally. Some people have been killed with harsh words, there are people who committed suicide as a result of harsh words.

It is possible to live a life full of kindness even when others aren’t kind to you. It is better to forgive others even when they haven’t admitted their wrong. Perhaps, you may not have to give them the chance to hurt you again but you can set your mind free towards them.

It’s a beautiful thing to do, to live a life free of hate, anger, unforgiveness and so on. Next time the heat is on, tune down, be kind and don’t let other people’s actions towards you change who you are. If you eventually let your guards down and act less of who you are, it’s still okay to admit that you are human who can make mistakes. Then, buckle up, make amend and go back to the template of kindness.

The only way to get rid of bitterness, rage, anger and harsh words is to be kind and forgiving. Forgiveness can be a hard thing to do but the big truth that we aren’t always told is that it is harder to live in unforgiveness than to forgive. Anger hurts you, forgiveness sets your mind free.

I have chosen kindness.
